Sarah Karpati graduated from Wheaton College Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology with minors in journalism, environmental studies, and philosophy. She was born and raised in New York City and joined the Social Service Board after coming home from graduation. She specifically wanted to give back to her community by volunteering with the homeless and started off as a volunteer for the Womans’ Shelter program and was voted onto the board in 2018. She currently works as a video producer and brings her media knowledge to the board as well as her passion for human rights and gender equality.
